Hello Pioneers! I'm Aaron Sawicki, head coach at Saffin Pond. I've been involved with swimming since the beginning of my memory as a coach and/or a swimmer and have swam for a number of teams, school, club, and summer alike. I've been head coach since 2022, and was an assistant coach and swimmer the year before. Preceding that I swam as a part of the team every summer since its creation in 2013. I'm happy to be so involved in the Pioneer family and tradition and look forward to the seasons that lie ahead. I hope that you all can find a place of camaraderie, excitement and joy at the pond with us this season! -Coach Aaron
Hi, my name is Sarah Young and I am one of the assistant coaches of Saffin Pond! I joined Saffin as a swimmer the first year it was established as a team and knew I wanted to stay a part of it for as long as I could. Being a member of this team as a swimmer and a coach gave me incredible skills in and out of the water. This team brought me many life long connections as well as an appreciation for focusing on the fun in a competitive sport! I am so excited for this summer and what many other future summers hold for Saffin Pond!
I’m Coach Christina and I have been swimming for as long as I can remember. I used to do swim races at my lake house every summer and was so passionate about racing. In 2013 I joined the Saffin Pond Swim Team the first year it was established. I swam for Saffin Pond every summer since then and started junior coaching when I was 16. I continued volunteering even after I was too old to swim. I have been an assistant coach on the team for 2 years now, since 2022. I enjoy coaching and teaching the kids how to swim more than anything. I’m so glad to continue to be involved with this team. Saffin Pond is a family and I look forward to every summer I get to spend at the pond! Go Pioneers!
