Swim Meet 101
Here is some important information about our swim meets!
Swimmer and volunteer check-in procedure
- RSVP to each meet by 12pm the day before the meet. If you do not declare your availability, coaches will assume that you are not attending. If your swimmer IS available and you did not RSVP on time, email or send coach Aaron a message on Remind ASAP. If you reply no or do not reply at all, your swimmer will not be put into any events. Our goal is for all kids to swim. The swim meets give purpose for practice. As a team, we support ALL swimmers. We cannot wait to watch them all learn and grow throughout the season.
*It is best to RSVP on our website under the Meet and Events tab.
- Please arrive at NIGHT meets by 5:15 and MORNING meets by 8:15.
- When you arrive at a meet, have your swimmer(s) check in a coach for attendance.
- Bring chairs, money for snacks, your own snacks, dry clothes, and a positive attitude!
- The meets are BUSY and we love how the swimmers cheer each other on! Try not to incorporate electronic devices/phones. This will give the kids a chance to get the full meet experience!
- Bring a purple or black sharpie marker to write events on your swimmer's arm (we will show you how!)
Make sure you are checking the meet sign up sheets to ensure that we have enough volunteers to run a successful and efficient meet. We would not want to be forced to cancel a meet due to a lack of volunteers. If you are volunteering at a meet, check-in with Gina Aiello/Dustin Kimball for further instructions.
